The Story Mint is a vibrant and inspirational community of writers who celebrate one another's successes.

So here we are, in February already, and what a busy February it has been at The Story Mint.

Thank you everyone who has joined The Story Mint. We appreciate your support. We are really encouraged to hear your stories about how The Story Mint and, more especially Stylefit™, has helped you become more confident writers. That is terrific news!

You can hear members talk about their experiences with Stylefit™ on this video on our home page called: Stylefit™: A revolutionary new writing tool.

And, of course, our writers have been busy creating new chapters for our Serials. We have two completed serials this month.

Time Travel is a challenging genre to get right but this serial absolutely nails it. Well done to Raymond for his provoking starter and to Suraya for wrapping it up and to all the other contributors in between.

Nestor, Lester and Esther - the heartwarming story of a family coming to grips with great loss and a new beginning - also completes this month. Ken Burns started and finished this serial so congratulations Ken, and to the other contributing writers.

We are told by the writers that not only does Stylefit™  make a huge difference to their writing skills but they have seen big improvements by being part of the serial programme. They say they have gained greater writing mastery and discovered new storytelling skills. The feedback they get from other writers has also helped enormously.
See below for more new Serial chapters to read and feel inspired by.

Everyone Has a Story
Anthology Two

A review by
Ray Stone

A Wonderful Collection of Short Stories from around the World

This was such a great read. Twelve authors have combined their skills to produce ten short stories in serial form with each chapter written by a different author. I was hooked when reading the first story, The Diary of Pearl Farrell. This story is set at the turn of the last century and not only tells a poignant tale but also has an amazing and truly unforgettable ending. My hat's off to these authors. The Assault brings us into modern day business dealings involving genetically modified food for the starving in third world countries. Greed is afoot, and a young up and coming woman scientist is kidnapped in this thriller. I found these and the other stories engrossing.
If I have any criticism at all, it is that I wanted to read more. This was terrific multi-genre storytelling at its best. I hope we can expect more.

Alice's Future - through the looking glass
by Suraya Dewing

Creativity is the valued commodity of the future.

No-one has to be a rocket scientist to realise that the world is changing at a phenomenal rate. While many of the underlying principles we learnt at school continue to be relevant what we do with that knowledge has changed. We are looking at a future where creativity across all disciplines will be a valued commodity.
This is especially relevant for writers. read on
